Yoga helps to promotes healthy joints, increases strength, balance, flexibility and breath efficiency. It helps to reduce stress and improve mental focus. It is a reflective practice that develops self-discipline.
Yes, we would recommend the Gental/Chair Yoga class where we use a lot of helpers/props for our bodies. Poses can be adjusted to meet your body where it is today. Yoga is about working with our breath and body together.
If you are new to yoga, two classes a week is a good place to start. Within a few weeks as your body gets stronger, begin to increase your practice to what your schedule allows for.
Yoga uses your own body weight to help build muscle and bones. All yoga poses help to build core and tone. Consistent practice partnered with healthy eating can definitely help to tone the body.

Core Foundations is a nice slow flow, mix of Yoga and Pilates. This one hour class focuses on the importance of breathing while building and restoring key core muscles and strengthening the pelvic floor.

Chair Yoga
